The problem with the Mac App Store isn’t that apps aren’t easy to get, or that the App Store is difficult to browse and search. The problem is that, every day, developers throughout the industry offer discounts on their apps to help increase their exposure, but the Mac App Store offers no simple way to find these deals. I'm looking for an application for mac that can allow a user to compile keyboard shortcuts and tab triggers for multiple applications, and reference them on the fly.
I'm a developer and many of the applications I use have many useful keyboard shortcuts or tab triggers, including OS X itself. The problem is, while I'm learning them all, there's no convenient method of referencing them. Sure there are webpages with lists of the shortcuts, or lists in the apps themselves, and pdfs that one can download and keep open, but all these solutions aren’t streamlined in one's workflow.

I imagine an app that lives in the menu bar, that one can enter various keyboard shortcuts etc and can be organized and searched by application, or keyword etc. That way when you're working, and you need to remember a shortcut, all you have to do is click in the menu bar and search, instead of opening and searching through a pdf or whatnot.
Any suggestions? I suppose in time I could create my own.. but you know..

I don't know if you've seen KeyCue, but it basically displays a list of shortcuts in the frontmost app when you hold command.
I've also written an AppleScript that saves text files for menu items and their shortcuts. I've never really needed it myself though — it's easier to just look up shortcuts from the menu bar.

Enthusiasts have discovered that the macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 developer beta code comes with subtle hints at a desktop Podcasts app, possibly indicating that podcasts might be unbundled from iTunes in favor of a standalone app.
Apple’s Podcasts app is currently available for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Digging through macOS 10.13.4, 9to5Mac noticed that the software includes privacy information for a non-existent Podcasts app for macOS. The publication took it as a sign that the Podcasts app may be coming to macOS soon.
However you guys have the a lot of obscure apps that are useless. You should have the most popular. Optimum app for mac. Especially the Optimum app. I understand that the surface is an entirely new device, one that I'm currently falling in love with but the app selection and store is atrocious.
From the report:
This privacy information indicates that a user’s podcast listening is linked to a random device identifier which is synced through iCloud in a way that cannot be linked to other Apple services. Apple collects data about users’ listening habits to share with podcast publishers.
The most interesting part is that it specifically mentions “Your use of the Podcast app is linked to your Apple ID”. We can’t be sure whether it’s just a typo and/or whether they left this privacy information on macOS by accident, but this could mean we’re going to see a Podcasts app for macOS in the future.
But why stop there? App not optimized for mac windows 10.
My hope is that Apple will gradually unbundle all services from iTunes in favor of separate apps like on iOS. If you ask me, we should have a standalone app for Apple Music, a dedicated desktop TV app and so forth.
As for iTunes’ syncing ability, there should be a separate app just for mobile device sync.
Earlier today, we noted that code strings discovered from the iOS 11.3 developer beta reference a “modern iPad,“ potentially pointing to an upcoming iPad Pro refresh with a TrueDepth camera and Face ID that Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted would release this year. Mac your steering only allow apps for the app stores.

Would a dedicated Podcasts app for Mac make sense, do you think?
